What is Supply Chain Resiliency?

The Supply Chain Resiliency (SCR) team connects Michigan suppliers with purchasing and investment opportunities in key sectors, including advanced manufacturing, defense, aerospace, mobility/electrification, and clean energy. We collaborate with corporate buyers, investors, and state agencies to identify demand and promote it to qualified Michigan companies, facilitating direct connections. Our team empowers Michigan companies to compete and grow in traditional and emerging markets. We offer access to a wide range of resources, in partnership with other state agencies and programs, to help companies adapt to industry trends, integrate new technologies, diversify into new markets, and develop innovative products and services.

How Do I Get Started?

Due to rapidly evolving global supply chain landscape, SCR is focusing resources on working directly with Michigan companies on an ad hoc basis based on pressing needs. Over the coming months, SCR will be rolling out more robust resources on a macro level to help small businesses navigate economic and market conditions. Long Road Distillers

In 2023, Grand Rapids-based Long Road Distillers wanted to optimize the efficiency and quality of its ingredients supply chain for its distilling operations. That March, they participated in the Michigan Distilling Grain Summit, an event co-hosted by the PMBC team, Michigan Craft Beverage Council, and the Michigan State University Extension.
