Bob Sutherland is President and Founder of Cherry Republic, a flagship Michigan company representing tourism and agriculture in this state. It was started in 1989, has grown to six retail stores and an ecommerce business that stretches to every state and continent. Cherry Republic has drawn national media attention – from the cover of the Wall Street Journal to the Washington Post, NY Times, ABC News and the Food Network.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Bob is a former Leelanau County Commissioner, is currently a board member of the Michigan League of Conservation Voters and coaches the Glen Lake Varsity Tennis Team. Bob is a published writer on a variety of topics from politics to swimming alone. He has given speeches and told stories to audiences from 2 to 2000. He is married to Stephanie, who works at Interlochen Arts Academy, and they have two teenage sons, Colebrook, and Hawthorn.
