CURRENT FOCUS

Renee Tomina serves as senior vice president of the Project Management Office for DTE Energy. She is responsible for leading the project management, planning and execution of the company’s largest initiatives, including transforming the company’s electric infrastructure to improve reliability for customers, as well as major projects in renewable energy, power generation, nuclear, information technology and gas platforms.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Tomina has been with DTE Energy since 2010. Prior to her current role, Tomina was vice president of DTE Gas where she was responsible for managing utility gas operations, including construction, distribution and planning of DTE’s natural gas pipeline system within applicable federal, state and local regulations. In her role, Tomina lead the improvement of the operational systems, processes and policies to ensure a high level of system integrity, safety and performance. She has also served in leadership positions in a number of areas including Continuous Improvement, Customer Service, and Electric and Gas Operations. Prior to joining DTE, she worked as a manufacturing lead in the automotive industry.

EDUCATION/PERSONAL

Tomina earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Lawrence Technological University and a Master of Science degree in systems engineering from Oakland University.
