CURRENT FOCUS

Christin Armstrong is the Senior Vice President of Business Development Programs & Execution with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. In her role, Christin is responsible for Business Development Programs, including BDP, SESA, Renaissance Zones, SOAR programs, and legacy programs including MEGA and the 21st Century Jobs Fund loan and investment portfolio. Christin and her team also manage the compliance and monitoring for these programs and handle real estate activities for development of large industrial sites to position those sites as ready for business investment and job creation.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Christin brings significant legal experience to her role at the MEDC. She began her work at the MEDC in the Legal Division as a senior compliance specialist. She then served as Staff Attorney and became Corporate Counsel and Manager, Contracts and Grants. In 2013 Christin was promoted to Senior Corporate Counsel and the Director, Compliance, building the Compliance unit from the ground up. Following this, she served as Associate General Counsel and Vice President for Compliance and Contract Services.

Prior to the MEDC, Christin served in the Legal Division in the Office of Governor Granholm as Assistant Legal Counsel.

EDUCATION/PERSONAL

Christin Armstrong is a graduate of Michigan State University with Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications and graduated cum laude from the Michigan State University College of Law.
