Brief Job Description:
This student assistant role will provide technical and administrative support for the Digital Media Team, contributing to various creative and organizational tasks. Responsibilities may include assisting with photography and videography, supporting podcast recordings, and maintaining accurate records in photo and video tracking repositories.
In a learning capacity, the role involves monitoring and analyzing social media trends, creating engaging content for various platforms, and coordinating online community interactions to enhance audience engagement. The student assistant may also assist with coordinating digital media projects and performing other duties as needed to support the team’s overall goals.

This position may require travel to support videography, photography, and content creation assignments.

Note: Funding for this student assistant position is approved through Fiscal Year 2025. There is a possibility for extension beyond September 30, 2025, but there is no guarantee. Employees classified as student assistants are limited to a maximum of 129 work hours per calendar month.

Minimum Education Required:
Current enrollment in a college or university degree or certificate program specific to the area of opportunity or a related general field. Preferred majors: Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Digital Storytelling or a related field.
Minimum Experience Required:
No specific type or amount is required. Preferred: Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms, including X, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Proficiency in video editing tools such as CapCut and Adobe Creative Suite, with the ability to create engaging visual content.
