Home to more than 11,000 inland lakes, 5 Great Lakes and roughly 20 million acres of public forest there’s always a place to go hunting or fishing in Michigan. There’s nothing more relaxing than completely immersing yourself into the natural wonders of the state and experiencing the great outdoors. The old adage, ‘If you don’t like the weather, just wait five minutes’ couldn’t be more true in this great state, however, due to Michigan’s ever-changing weather it can be hard to navigate when it’s the best time to go.
Outdoorsman Jeff Courter had the same problem. That’s why he developed the Sportsman Tracker to help fellow hunters and fishermen identify the perfect time to catch the perfect weather. Sportsman Tracker uses a collection of algorithms based on the wind, barometric pressure, and other various weather indicators to help determine the perfect time to go hunting or fishing.
Jeff, a Michigan native and outdoor enthusiast, said he chose to do business in Michigan because there’s no better place for an outdoor platform to be built.
Sportsman Tracker offers two different apps for both Apple and Android devices, HuntWise and FishWise. Downloading the apps can be easily done by going to your app store.
Watch to learn how the Sportsman tracker was developed and how it’s enhancing many hunters’ and fishermen's outdoor experience.
