Located in Detroit, Inventev has created a crossover technology between the energy space and the automotive space. Inventev uses electric commercial fleet trucks to transport materials and people as well as provide power off of the vehicle. When not being driven, the truck can then serve as a generator to supply power to when needed. Having this technology could prove to be invaluable in the wake of a natural disaster, home power outage, or needed electricity at work sites across the country. This technology is environment friendly, cost saving and reduces emission fumes.

Through start-up support and the Michigan Match Energy Grant, Michigan has given Inventev the resources needed to not only grow, but to thrive. “Between the workforce and auto industry it’s natural that we would be based here in Michigan,” said Founder and CEO, David Stenson.

Stenson’s goal for Inventev is to have a commercial product for sale in the next five years, but more importantly he is striving to create more jobs right here in Michigan.
