Changing Lanes
The Michigan Mobility Startup Ecosystem is missing out on key talent opportunities in the state. For example, The Detroit region's mobility cluster has a dearth of startup activity, accounting for only 7% of statewide venture capital (VC) and 6% of angel investment activity (Automobility, 2021). This program aims to change that by increasing the number of startup founders in Michigan and creates success for talent that wants to transition from industry to startups.Founder Path
If you have a challenge you’ve encountered at work and thought “someone should build something to fix that” — maybe that someone is you! This program will bring curious professionals together to learn more about what it means to start a company, and scale it, from those who have done it before here in Michigan. If that kernel of an idea continues to grow, the program will support it with a special session to help build out the concept using the Business Model CanvasTM approach, and prepare founders to enter the startup support ecosystem here in Michigan.
