Total Quality Logistics establishing new facility in Cascade Charter Township
LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Economic Development Corporation today announced Michigan Strategic Fund approval of one business expansion and three community development projects that will generate nearly $2.5 million in total investment and create 77 jobs around the state.
“Today’s MSF actions will lead to new business growth, revitalized communities and more and better jobs for our residents,” said MEDC Chief Executive Officer Steve Arwood. “We’re pleased to support these projects, which will lead to greater economic growth for our communities and our residents.”
Total Quality Logistics LLC is a Cincinnati, OH-based shipping services company with satellite offices all over the U.S. The company plans to open a new location in Cascade Charter Township, investing $839,000 and creating 75 jobs. As a result the company has been awarded a $300,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant. Michigan was chosen over competing sites in multiple states. Cascade Charter Township has offered support to the project in the form of expedited permitting.

“We are excited to open our second location in Michigan,” said TQL president Kerry Byrne. “The success of our Detroit office - which we opened in February of 2014 – makes us confident that we can also leverage the pool of talent in Grand Rapids and bring quality jobs to the area.”
The Michigan Strategic Fund also approved the following community improvement projects:
The city of Davison has been awarded $153,556 in Community Development Block Grant funds for façade improvements for the Downtown Façade project in downtown Davison.
