Seven Michigan companies travel to EUROSATORY 2018 to explore export opportunities in defense, security sector

Business leaders from seven Michigan companies travel to Paris to take part in the EUROSATORY 2018 defense and security trade show

LANSING, Mich. – Business leaders from seven Michigan companies are traveling to Paris this week to take part in the EUROSATORY 2018 defense and security trade show to meet with prospective partners, distributors and customers to increase export opportunities in this ever-important sector. 

EUROSATORY, taking place June 11-15 in Paris, is one of the largest defense and security exhibitions in the world, offering unique opportunities to connect with foreign buyers and develop international business. The show is expected to attract exhibitors from more than 50 countries with more than 60,000 visitors and 200 official delegations. 

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s International Trade Program and the Michigan Defense Center are leading the delegation. 

“Defense and homeland security are more important to our state and nation than ever. Michigan has placed a special emphasis on this sector, helping both entrepreneurs and established firms within the state to diversify into the industry,” said MEDC Chief Executive Officer Jeff Mason. “EUROSATORY 2018 will open doors for these companies by connecting them with defense and homeland security professionals from around the globe, ultimately growing their businesses and bringing more and better jobs to Michigan residents.”

The Michigan companies will be exhibiting in the Michigan booth within the Association of the United States Army’s USA Security and Defense Pavilion, one of the largest national pavilions at EUROSATORY. The participating companies from Michigan are:

CT Group LLC (Stevensville) – Represents and supports small arms, optics, magazine, armored vehicle and tactical gear manufacturers

DG Technologies (Farmington Hills) – Designs, engineers, and manufactures superior ultra-rugged, state-of-the-art technologically the advanced warfighter requires

Redi-Rock International (Charlevoix) – Industry leader in large block retaining walls

Oasis Advanced Engineering Inc. (Auburn Hills) – Engaged in research and development of modeling, simulation, training systems, and embedded electronics and optical devices for military applications

Highland Engineering Inc. (Howell) – Manufacturing firm providing water purification and troop support equipment to all branches of the U.S. military

Riveer Environmental (South Haven) – World leader in the design and manufacture of closed loop wash systems, aircraft clear water rinse systems, deployable vehicle wash systems, and corrosion prevention wash solutions 

Viconic Defense (Dearborn) – Leading provider of survivability solutions to the United States military used in the protection of warfighters against a wide range of threats

Since its inception in 2012, the International Trade program at the MEDC has worked with Michigan companies to support for than $2.1 billion in export sales and 10,287 jobs across the state.
