Celebrate Pure Michigan Night at Comerica Park with the Detroit Tigers

Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist II to throw ceremonial first pitch ● game begins at 7:10 ET
DETROIT, Mich. – Fans of Pure Michigan will want to head to the ballpark this Friday, June 14 to be part of Pure Michigan night at Comerica Park as the Detroit Tigers take on the Cleveland Indians. The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown out by Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist II.At this year’s Pure Michigan night at Comerica Park, the first 10,000 fans will receive a custom Detroit Tigers-Pure Michigan beverage koozie. Tickets to the game are still available.
“I am honored to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Pure Michigan game,” Gilchrist said. “It’s a thrill to be able to join Pure Michigan at Comerica Park to celebrate everything that the city of Detroit and our tremendous state has to offer.”
Pure Michigan Day at Comerica Park is part of a partnership with the Detroit Tigers that also includes Pure Michigan branding on the dugout railings and benches, as well as advertising on TigerVision and the scoreboard throughout the regular season.
Also during the game, fans will be treated to a viewing of the new Pure Michigan Dark Sky commercial, which brings awareness of Michigan as a destination for stargazing and viewing of celestial events such as the Northern Lights.
“Pure Michigan night at Comerica Park is an excellent opportunity to help elevate awareness about Michigan to a national audience. We’re also excited to share the new Dark Sky commercial with fans and inspire them to seek yet another dimension of Michigan’s natural beauty – the night sky,” said Dave Lorenz, Vice President of Travel Michigan, part of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. “This event is a great way to bring people to downtown Detroit and celebrate our partnership with the Detroit Tigers.”
