Growth Office Social Media Content Creator

The Michigan Growth Office is looking for a social media content creator that can ideate and create a cadence of interesting and viral-worthy social media content for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X and YouTube. This entity must also be able to develop a social media strategy complete with content mix and a related content calendar.

 

More Details:

Content created must appeal to a younger demographic. Ideally, the Office is looking to create four videos, four static posts and four direct to cameras each month. The Office is also looking to grow it's social media following through cross promotion and by following trends.

Additional duties include:

• Research and recommend social channel programming, which may include the use of new features.
• Maintain social handles in accordance with program identity.
• Creation of social media kits as needed.
• Production/video editing skills and expert level copy writing are a must.
• Provide channel and engagement monitoring/listening.
• Support live/real-time and opportunistic engagement opportunities, such as capturing content at/for a live event or drafting off a news/trends.
• Must be willing to travel to events, speaking engagements and other in-person gatherings across the state 1-2 times per month to gather content.
