Michigan Translational Research and Commercialization (MTRAC) Program for Advanced Computing
Established in 2012, the MTRAC Program was designed to accelerate the transfer of new technologies from Michigan’s universities into the commercial market through licenses or startups. In 2016, the program expanded statewide to support translational research across Michigan. This expansion further demonstrated the state’s commitment to entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic growth by providing a clear path to accelerate the commercialization of new technologies. The program is supported by five Innovation Hubs across key technology sectors, which assist projects from higher education institutions, hospital systems, and nonprofit research centers throughout the state.
