The region offers a cozy, winter wonderland in the winter months and a sunny, Pure Michigan lakeside retreat in the summer. Water recreation is the name of the game, from ice fishing or kayaking the tip of the Thumb Heritage Water Trail to honoring Michigan’s maritime history with festivals, shipwreck tours, and sailing excursions.
